The Perfect Velvet Dress

I consider myself to be a bit of a velvet expert. I’ve had many velvet dresses thru the years both vintage and new…but have never found the absolute perfect one. This is why I’m so excited to team up with the talented designer Nathalia JMag (from Project Runway) to create the perfect velvet dress. Velvet can be a bit of a tricky fabric in that the garment has to be cut very precisely to accentuate the body properly. Feel free to comment which were your favorites this year, as there are so many talented designers it’s so hard to choose just one for each week so I would love to hear your picks as well! … Continue reading

People shouldn’t succumb to trend, they should interpret trend.” A few summer-like styles have sort of floated into fall and this includes polka dots and ruffles. I’m sure you’ve seen those polka dot wrap dresses all over social media recently and well, here’s another. For me personally I’ve always been a fan of ruffles, it dates back to the Victorian era which is always a classic favorite of mine. Though the only problem with ruffles is that they can be overdone very easily; and that’s what so tricky about styling them. This is why I am such a big fan of these cute little wrap dresses because … Continue reading
