When trying to dress comfortably and keep cool during the hot festival days, next to lace, crochet is your best bet. Crochet items have holes that allow air to flow thru which also adds texture to the garment, creating a pretty pattern. This is why they’re perfect for festivals as the bohemian designs are right on theme. A little crocheted top is one of my favorite pieces to wear because it is thick enough to hold its place while you are dancing and running around, but still breathable so you don’t get too hot. I went with all black in this outfit to keep it pretty simple and then added a pop of color with my bag.…View Post
At a festival you always want to look fashionable, but more importantly you want to be comfortable. There is a lot of walking/dancing so you’ll want to wear items that are made of a breathable fabric. This is why I love wearing lace dresses to these sort of events as they are the most breathable but always look chic. Lace dresses also never go out of stye so when you find a design you really love, they are usually timeless and can stay in your closet for many years. I went very matchy with this whole look though I should mention that the heel on these shoes are a bit taller than what I might choose to wear to a festival.…View Post
The OTS (off the shoulder) trend has been very popular recently as I’ve been seeing it everywhere already this summer. What I find so interesting is that this style has actually been a favorite of mine for years. The off the shoulder is a classic and feminine look but still comes off quite sophisticated despite the semi low neckline. As you might’ve already guessed from my blog name; velvet dresses are one of my favorite items to wear! Not only are they super stylish and soft but they always add a level of sophistication and class to the outfit, no matter how you style it. Though the hard part for me about styling velvet dresses is that most of them are made for colder months..and living in Southern California we don’t get that much cold weather and our winters are quite short. But I still love to wear my velvet dresses especially on nights out when they actually do a good job of keeping you warm; unlike most other dresses.…View Post
A few of my casual, and not so casual, daily looks from winter 2016/17. Though I will be starting with a few outfits from December, most of these were taken in 2017 right up until last week. I wanted to wait for the cold weather to be officially over before posting this lookbook, and I wanted to be able to include outfits from the rainy/cold days we had in April. Also, my festival lookbook will be coming end of June!
Info on the different daily looks will be listed below, though I will not be listing every item in each look.…View Post
