Now that fashion week in Paris has ended, I decided to do a post to highlight my favorite designers from the New York, London, Milan and Paris fashion week events. Each location has a bit of a different feel to it, so I decided to choose one designer from each week that was my personal favorite, and picking only one designer is much easier said than done. I will include photos from the show/collection as well as a brief description about the designer. Feel free to comment which designers were your favorite at this year’s fashion week events, there are so many talented designers it’s so hard to choose just one for each week.
The first fashion week is New York, one I hope to be able to attend someday. A designer that really caught my eye both last year and this year is Zimmermann, an Australian based designer that I believe actually started out as a swimwear line. Though this is not the usual way I tend to dress, I always find myself in love with the delicate sophisticated pieces. I would say the style is a bit more girly than I’m used to but is still bold and elegant enough that I feel I could incorporate it into my personal style.
One of my favorite designers ever since I was a kid and didn’t know anything about fashion has always been Vivienne Westwood. Her collections are amazing and can’ t really be summed up with just a few adjectives. I have already done a post,
Muse Monday, Vivienne Westwood, which you can read if you would like to learn more about the designer. I have included 3 photos from her Red Label Spring 2015 collection that premiered at London Fashion week.
My personal favorite is always Milan’s fashion week. This might have a big part to do with my favorite designer, Roberto Cavalli. I have already done a blog post on Cavalli if you would like more info on the designer see
Muse Monday, Roberto Cavalli. Cavalli never ceases to amaze me with his beautiful, bold and breathtaking collections. This one was no exception.
The Chanel show at Paris fashion week was one of my favorites. The stage was set as a street where the girls were marching in protest for feminine rights. The concept was amazing and I really loved seeing two of my favorite models; Cara Delevingne and Georgia May Jagger in the show. Though I love all the bold mismatched prints, that somehow go together, I just don’t see the suits fitting into my particular style. But that doesn’t mean I can’t still admire them. My favorite outfit that I would wear was a little matching top and skirt set with these amazing shoes I’m just in love with! (see 2nd photo)
Thanks for posting all these photos of these fabulous designers! Great choices!
