This beautiful classic black tulle skirt is quickly becoming one of my favorite fall items. It’s by the brand Shabby Apple, who I’ve featured on my blog before, here; I talked about their lovely vintage style garments as well as styling tips. What I love the most about this skirt is the many different ways it can be styled. Usually an item like this can only be worn a certain way. While it is very much a statement piece, I have seen it paired with simple flats and t-shirt’s/sweater combos as well as bold/patterned tucked in blouses and high heels. This style is called the bloom skirt and it comes in so many colors, but of course, I chose black. This particular style of skirt has a very vintage look. I thought it would pair perfectly with the cut out detail of one of my favorite tops, as well as these vintage kitten heels. As I walked around I got quite a few compliments on my beautiful dress. I informed them it was actually a top and skirt combo. I feel like you could pair this with many different style tops to get the same dress effect.
Though this skirt may look like a heavier piece it is actually quite light and breezy. Which is perfect for winter (paired with tights) or summer. The day I shot this look it was one of the hottest days recorded, and I was just fine in my all black outfit. This piece has such a classic look, I wanted it to stay that way and keep all the attention on the tulle. It is such a beautiful piece though there is quite a lot of fabric. I would recommend sizing down if your in between sizes, as the waist has some stretch, and you don’t want it to feel too over-sized. Though if you think it looks a bit big on me, keep in mind that I’m only 5’1. Direct links will be listed below along with all other outfit details.
