Summer is officially here as I just ended my finals yesterday. To me, the biggest struggle in summer is how to continue wearing black. Black is my favorite color, although it is technically a shade and not a color. Black is usually seen as dark and depressing but I feel like black is very alluring and sophisticated. Most people think that black is a winter shade and is not normally worn in summer, mostly because it attracts heat. This is the main reason why wearing black is summer is quite difficult and why I have recently stocked up on mesh, chiffon and lace items as these fabrics breathe much easier than velvet and leather.
This is a look I shot with a black lace dress and a black kimono. The lace dress comes with a removable slip which I did not wear in this shoot. I have been looking for a little black slip recently so its nice to get a 2 for 1 deal with this gorgeous dress. I shot this look when it was 112 degrees last week so you know this dress and kimono can handle the heat. I have included 6 photos with the kimono and 6 photos without it. Outfit and jewelry details will be listed below.
