My 2016 New Year’s Eve look feature’s one of my absolute favorite things to wear… a velvet dress. I decided to go with an all black look to highlight my famous subtle matching accessories. I wanted the silver studs and brass knuckle detail on my purse to match my disco ball glitter nails and sunnies. My black sunglasses have a silver hardware detail design on the side as well, though it’s hardly noticeable. This dress is perfect for nights out when you don’t want to bring a coat, or if you were going to an event that didn’t have a coat check. Velvet is so warm that you can easily dance all night and not get sweaty, but still not be too cold after when your outside.
However, if you were going out dancing I would definitely swap out these shoes for a much lower heel. Any pair of boots could work or a Mary Jane heel, even an open toe stiletto if you decided not to wear tights. I would just recommend wearing shoes that are fairly comfortable on New Year’s Eve, just in case you have to walk a lot or you end up dancing for many hours. Hope everyone had a great New Years!
