Today’s look features two beautiful crystal necklaces from. All pieces are handmade in the UK and the shop offers a variety of designs and crystal sizes, though I was very partial to these two. I decided to stack them together in this look, though they can also be worn separately as they are both statement pieces. I guess it just depends on how big of a statement you want to make. I feel like they work well together and help to bring out the purple of the amethyst as well as the clear shiny quartz. As we transition into fall we are going to see a lot more darker colors/themes. This is a time to break out statement pieces and show them off. Though my outfit has some different textures going on with the solid ribbed knit top against the delicate lace skirt; I made sure that all the attention is on the necklaces. I paired the quartz and amethyst with all black to really accentuate the colors in contrast against the darker tones. If this top is too low for you however, you can always wear a bra/bralette underneath or even a little cami top. It would still accent the necklaces but remain a bit more modest.
I decided to wear silver accents and accessories to match the antique silver/gunmetal chains on the necklaces. Since they are both such statement pieces, I wore very minimal jewelry as to not distract away from their beauty. There is a famous quote by Coco Chanel, in reference to accessories, that goes something like; “Once you’ve dressed, and before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take at least one thing off.”. This was definitely one of those moments. I’ve personally found that most of the time, less is more. In fact I felt that my hat was maybe even pushing it a bit, but I really loved how it looked with the necklaces. Other outfit details, and links, will be listed below.
