A simple classic wrap dress is a staple in any wardrobe, though typically you see the full longer sleeve and shorter above the knee cut. This is a bit of a different take on the wrap dress; as it is a short sleeve and a long maxi style dress with a slit up the front. One of my favorite ways to wear classic pieces is to find a version of it that has more of a modern design. Though this is definitely more of a fall and spring time item, you just need to layer a coat to make it perfect for winter. Like I did in my outfit 2 weeks ago featuring this exact dress. I know I said I would be wearing less black, and I want to note that I do have more colorful looks coming up.
The only color featured in this look is in my accessories and the trimming on my hat. This beautiful gold necklace works really well with the low cut neckline of the wrap dress, and the gold trimming on my hat brings out the color of the jewelry even more. There is also small gold detail on the foot-bed of my shoes, which you can only see in certain photos but it does in a subtle way tie the whole look together. Also I had to pair it with my favorite go to bag with gold hardware. This has really become my every day bag as it can hold a lot more than it looks. I will be making a YouTube channel soon for various reviews, lookbooks and styling videos so I might do a review on this bag as well. I will be doing a poll soon on twitter to see if bag reviews would be informative and interesting to feature. All other outfit details are listed below along with direct links.
