Festival Lookbook 3/3: Comfortable Footwear

With school starting and festival season coming to an end; this last and final festival post will be helpful all year round for any event where you have to do a lot of walking. That’s right we are talking shoes today. Now we all know that shoes can either make or break an outfit and I don’t just mean aesthetically. If your feet are hurting and you’re in pain with every single step you take, you don’t care how cute your shoes look in that moment. You want to be comfortable. This is why I think that boots, like the ones I’m wearing here, are the perfect way to go.…

Festival Lookbook 2/3: Crochet Tops

When trying to dress comfortably and keep cool during the hot festival days, next to lace, crochet is your best bet. Crochet items have holes that allow air to flow thru which also adds texture to the garment, creating a pretty pattern. This is why they’re perfect for festivals as the bohemian designs are right on theme. A little crocheted top is one of my favorite pieces to wear because it is thick enough to hold its place while you are dancing and running around, but still breathable so you don’t get too hot. I went with all black in this outfit to keep it pretty simple and then added a pop of color with my bag.…

A simple classic wrap dress is a staple in any wardrobe, though typically you see the full longer sleeve and shorter above the knee cut. This is a bit of a different take on the wrap dress; as it is a short sleeve and a long maxi style dress with a slit up the front. One of my favorite ways to wear classic pieces is to find a version of it that has more of a modern design. Though this is definitely more of a fall and spring time item, you just need to layer a coat to make it perfect for winter.…

Styling- Black in (late) Summer

IMG 8460 zpszdu9870f Styling Black in (late) Summer

“Women who wear black lead colorful lives.” Wearing my new favorite hat with a vintage gold embroidered trim to add a bit of color to my all black look. I decided to pair the gold detailing on my hat with the chain on my bag and the frames on my sunnies. You will be seeing a lot more all black outfits from me this fall season as it’s basically half my wardrobe. I also had to throw on my thin velvet choker from Regal Rose, this piece is perfect for everyday looks as it’s not as thick and “statement” as the one I featured in my previous look.…
