You’ve probably noticed the choker trend coming in full force for fall. It seems as though every look I see lately has a choker (or several) incorporated into it. Although they have mostly been seen as a fall/winter piece in the past, it’s actually pretty easy to rock a choker with a variety of styles. I have seen them worn with heavier jackets/winter looks to simple summer tank tops and floral dresses. My personal favorite way to style a choker is with a low V-cut neckline. So I decided to pair my favorite thick black velvet choker from Regal Rose with my favorite red dress with velvet floral detailing. You can never go wrong matching velvet with velvet. I feel like the low neckline helps to elongate the neck and makes the choker look much more elegant, rather than if you paired it with a high collar top or scoop neck cut. My next look coming up will also feature a choker with a low cut dress, to show the different ways to style it without looking like your wearing a costume piece.
The chokers from Regal Rose are such good quality. I have been on the hunt for good quality comfortable chokers. This is easier said than done as many designs opt for the little button snaps to close the choker. I do not like these for several reasons, as they can pull on the fabric and make the back stick out and (in my opinion) look like a costume piece. This also only really leaves one option for neck size & comfort. I have never liked the “one size fits all” style, because its simply not true. This is why I love that theirs all come with a sturdy yet dainty looking chain clasp that looks classy, lays flat, and is super easy to get on & off. I had to pair my black choker with my favorite new python leather clutch from Callixto. The texture on this bag is just so intricate and gorgeous; the structure is amazing quality too. I also think this might be the least amount of black I’ve ever worn in a blog outfit. Other outfit details and a direct link to my velvet choker and beautiful leather clutch will be listed below.
