One of my resolutions for this upcoming year is to wear more color, as I wear a lot of black. So when I saw this beautiful printed dress with velvet floral details from Blackwater Boutique, I knew that it was the perfect piece to start off my color collection. This pale pink is not a color I usually wear. You’ve probably noticed the choker trend coming in full force for fall. It seems as though every look I see lately has a choker (or several) incorporated into it. Although they have mostly been seen as a fall/winter piece in the past, it’s actually pretty easy to rock a choker with a variety of styles. I have seen them worn with heavier jackets/winter looks to simple summer tank tops and floral dresses. My personal favorite way to style a choker is with a low V-cut neckline. Styling: Trench Coats

These outfits were shot in some June gloom weather, which was just perfect to style my new trench coats from Members Only. Usually styled only in winter, I wanted to show how these are a versatile piece that can be worn even in slightly warmer weather if styled appropriately. With both looks I wore a little cotton dress and leather boots, so my outfit underneath was very comfortable and my dress was very breathable. My outfit was very minimal in detail so that I could easily slip on the trench and transition from day to night. Though I should mention that when I shot these looks it was about mid 60s F, which is still quite cool weather to me.…
