One of my favorite winter/fall pieces is a bold colored faux fur coat. I feel like a bright colored outerwear piece is a staple in any woman’s wardrobe. It’s a bit taboo in winter, because summer is the time of year known for wearing bright and bold colors. Then darker drab colors and shades are typically saved for winter and colder months; I like to challenge that. This is one of my favorite coats and has been appropriately nicknamed, the cookie monster coat, because of it’s blue color. The interesting thing about this coat, and what actually first attracted me to it, is that the color changes depending on the light. This coat can go from an electric blue to a silver shiny midnight blue, which also makes it a much more versatile piece.
I decided to pair the coat with an all black look and my trusty pointed toe boots. I chose these particular boots for the chunky silver buckles on the side. I wanted the silver accents on my shoes to match the silver hardware on my sunglasses and hat. I like to do very subtle matching, when an outfit is too planned out it can look boring to me. But I have found that pairing accessories is a way to make the outfit appear more put together without looking too over the top. Outfit details will be listed below.
