One of my resolutions for this upcoming year is to wear more color, as I wear a lot of black. So when I saw this beautiful printed dress with velvet floral details from Blackwater Boutique, I knew that it was the perfect piece to start off my color collection. This pale pink is not a color I usually wear. Though it has quickly become one of my new favorite pieces because it has really forced me to go outside my comfort zone; now I find myself looking at other items in this color. So I think it’s always good once in a while to take a little fashion risk. The velvet floral detailing is what really drew my attention, as you know I love both floral and velvet.
I paired this beautiful dress with my new boots with two tone detailing. I thought the two-tone featuring leather and dark suede went well with the very 70s vibe of the dress. Then I just threw on my wood watch which is made from the most beautiful Koa wood and features sparkly little crystals. If you notice there is also a small detail along the sole of the boots that matches the exact tone of the watch. It’s little details like this that always complete a look for me.
